Ahh, my first guest comic. I almost promised myself I wouldn't allow these, but I trust Mangler. I've seen guest comics that are absolute travesties of art. I appreciate the effort and all, but I can't bring myself to post something that doesn't have at least redeeming artistic or comedic value. Shirt Guy Dom is funny; Great. He's unique, so don't copy him. I don't approve of blatant copycats. Anyone else doing what Dom does isn't funny, they're plagiarising. Anyway, the point is that if a guest comic lacks one of the two elements (being funny or being well drawn), it won't get posted here. Don't doubt yourself, but be prepared to take criticism. You're your own worst enemy, as I've found out the hard way.
At any rate, Mangler always does an excellent job. You should all read his weekly Mangled Stare, a tale of householders and hectic heroism. There are ninjas too! Thanks a ton Mangler, you're a saviour.
The next comic should be ready tomorrow. It would have been today, but I'm out of printer ink and didn't have the time to nab a new cartridge before art class. Once I've done that, I can finish episode 6 and get Rich off my back about his character (oy). Yes, some of the characters are based off friends and family. In fact, the only one right now who isn't would be Sammy, Sera's little sister. Sammy's not your typical little girl though. More on that later. Rich... Boy has Rich been a hassle to compose. The thing is, the real-life rich is a long haired, metal-lover, and obviously I can't recreate that in a military character. However I've found a happy compromise. I know I promised more on the war, but I need to introduce Rich first, otherwise it just doesn't work. I hope you all enjoy it.
By the way, you should all be watching Twelve Kingdoms (Juuni Kokki). It's one of the single best anime series' available. I'll rant on it again later.
In addition, and this comes late, Checkerboard Nightmare by Kristofer Straub has switched URLs. The new site can be found here, although the old site will give you a redirect anyway.
